CF Neuroscience programme

Spring 2008

The spring curriculum consists of series of short courses (1-2 weeks each) covering a wide range of topics in the biological bases of human and animal behavior. The program will attempt to synthesize contemporary experimental neuroscience with broader perspectives from systems and evolutionary biology, ecology and ethology, machine learning and psychology, medicine, and beyond. Each course will begin with a basic introduction to a field of study and progress current research issues and will therefore be suitable to students from a wide range of backgrounds and independently accessible. The structure of each course is developed by the organizers and includes expert guest lecturers from around the world providing tutorials and research seminars, group discussion and presentation of papers, and Matlab-based exercises.
