Programme for Advanced Medical Education (3rd edition)
The Programme for Advanced Medical Education is supported by the Gulbenkian and Champalimaud Foundations, the Ministry of Health and the Foundation for Science and Technology.
The Programme for Advanced Medical Education is aimed at medical professionals who are strongly motivated by clinical or translational research.
The Programme has a duration of 3 years, with the next edition beginning on October 1st 2010.
10 Candidates are selected annually as follows:
1) Full-time:
• Places available: 5 per year.
• Candidates: Interns and young specialists.
• The Champalimaud Foundation will support, for the 3 years of the Programme, the candidates with a specialist degree in Medical Oncology, or similar specialties, up to a limit of 3 per year. Candidates (interns or specialists) of other medical specialties will be supported by the Gulbenkian Foundation.
2) Part-time:
• Places available: 5 per year.
• Candidates: Interns and Specialists that wish to participate in the Programme without interrupting their internship
• The Gulbenkian Foundation will offer the admitted candidates a grant that will permit their participation in the training component of the Programme.
