1st ESGAR workshop at the CCU
The CF has launched its partnership with ESGAR to offer advanced radiology training at the CCU
On Friday, January 22nd, the Foundation was pleased to welcome participants from across Europe to the first European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR) meeting in Lisbon. The Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown (CCU) is the ideal location for ESGAR to partner with the Foundation in running this first of a series of courses designed to offer advanced training to senior radiologists.
The ESGAR Advanced Workshop on Oncology was held at the CCU in the spirit of the Champalimaud Foundation’s dedication to promoting the most cutting-edge solutions to treatment and diagnosis. Titled, ‘Radiology on the move: going from diagnosis to quantificantion’, the workshop offered a strong overview of what physicians expect from radiology and how this information can be obtained through use of advanced applications. Participants had the opportunity to learn from the experience of Prof. Pierre-Jean Valette from Hospices Civils de Lyon and to interact directly with a variety of case studies.
The Champalimaud Foundation will continue to work with ESGAR to offer radiology workshops throughout 2016.
