Nominations and applications are now open for the António Champalimaud Vision Award 2016
The deadline for submissions to the 2016 António Champalimaud Vision Award ends December 31st 2015. The Award will be presented to active research groups involved in basic or clinical research which has led to a major breakthrough in the understanding and/or the preservation of vision.
Nominations are requested from members of the scientific community in order to identify the most exceptional candidates. Candidates will be considered by a distinguished international jury for the outstanding quality and distinction of their original research contributions, the contemporary relevance of their work and measurable impact of their achievements. The award may be used in any way that furthers the outstanding contributions of the recipients. This could be furthering basic, translational or clinical research, clinical practice or public health programmes.

This will be the 10th edition of the António Champalimaud Vision Award, awarded for the first time in 2007, representing one of the foremost prizes awarded worldwide in the field of vision.
