Advanced Programme of Medical Training
The Programme of Advanced Medical Training has the objective of supporting and involving medical specialists in translational and clinical research. As such, the Programme will provide opportunities in biomedical and clinical science education. In addition, it will allow the acquisition of skills that will permit, in the future, the collaboration between clinical practice and investigation in the participating Health Centres.
The Programme has a duration of 3 years and will run for 3 consecutive years, beginning 1st of October 2008.
10 Candidates will be selected in the following areas:
1) Full-time:
• Places available: 5 per year
• Candidates: Interns and Specialists
• The candidates in these circumstances will be financed by the Gulbenkian Foundation for the 3 years of the Programme. The Champalimaud Foundation will finance the admitted candidates that have a degree of specialisation in Oncological Medicine, or similar, up to a limit of 3 per year.
2) Part-time:
• Places available: 5 per year
• Candidates: Interns and Specialists that wish to participate in the Programme without interrupting their medical duties.
• The Gulbenkian Foundation will provide a subsidy that will permit participation in the training component of the Programme.
