António Travassos

António Travassos holds a degree in medicine from the University of Coimbra and has a specialisation in Ophthalmology, in Coimbra and in Chicago, USA. He was assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Coimbra and Head of Unit of Retinal-Vitral Surgery in the Hospitals of the University of Coimbra. In addition, he has been chairman of the Board of Directors of the Coimbra Surgical Centre since its creation in 1999. He has published several articles in his area of specialisation and is a member of both the Portuguese and American Societies of Ophthalmology.
