Carlos Eugénio da Silva

Carlos Eugénio Corrêa da Silva qualified as an engineer at the Instituto Superior Técnico, in Lisbon. He has been a member of the Board of several companies in Angola, Portugal, Brazil and USA. After his career had taken him to a variety of global destinations, he returned to Portugal in 1988 and became President of Carrefour, Espart (Espírito Santo Group) and, up to 2000 an Executive Board Member of Petrogal and Galp.
He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of SOEICOM (cement company of the Champalimaud Group). He is currently co-executor of Mr. António Champalimaud’s will.
