João Raposo Magalhães

João Raposo Magalhães was one of the heads of the Banco Raposo Magalhães which was purchased by the Banco Nacional Ultramarino. From 1952, he worked for the BNU in several posts, both in Portugal and in Mozambique and in 1965 he began working as a manager for the Champalimaud Group. As part of this position he was one of the managers responsible for the expansion and growth of the Banco Pinto & Sottomayor until 1975. He was later a member of the Board of Crisal, Companhia de Seguros Mundial, Banco Totta & Açores, Crédito Predial Português and again of Banco Pinto & Sotto Mayor. He is currently a consultant for the Santander-Totta Group.
