Breast Imaging, part of the Breast Unit at the Champalimaud Clinical Center in Lisbon, is looking for a Radiologist dedicated to breast diagnosis and intervention to join the Breast Imaging team, which consists of 4 radiologists fully dedicated to breast diagnosis and intervention.

The Breast Unit at the Champalimaud Clinical Center started its operations in November 2011. The Unit brings together the three main areas in the same physical space: Oncology, Breast Surgery and Breast Imaging. Other specialties, such as Pathology, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiotherapy, are part of the unit, but their specialists work in their respective departments.

Breast Imaging is seeking a Specialist in Radiology, equivalent to a Hospital Assistant or Consultant, qualified to work in Europe, with differentiation in Breast Imaging, covering diagnosis, intervention, and follow-up, and with strong spoken and written skills in Portuguese and English. We are looking for someone motivated to work as part of a full-time multidisciplinary team, interacting daily with the clinical staff.

What we offer

•    Breast Imaging with dedicated space and equipment. The department is equipped with a direct digital mammography system with tomosynthesis (Hologic 3D), three ultrasound rooms with recent model Philips ultrasound machines, one breast intervention room with a horizontal biopsy table equipped with tomosynthesis and vacuum-assisted biopsy system (BARD). A 3T MRI with software and coils for intervention. Three reporting rooms with five workstations, and a meeting room;

•    Active participation in the unit's weekly activities, including the Multidisciplinary Meeting, Scientific Meeting, and Journal Club;

•    Breast Imaging Department is recognized as a Certified Training Site by the Portuguese Medical Association, and all team members are involved in the training of Radiology Residents and other specialties who rotate through the Unit;
