Half-day symposium bringing together clinicians and researchers
8 September 2026, 14:00 – 17:30
Seminar Room, Champalimaud Foundation, Lisbon
Over the past two decades, psychedelic research has generated evidence of the therapeutic potential across a range of psychiatric and neurological conditions, bringing new possibilities for treatment and care. As the field continues to advance rapidly, clinical research still needs to overcome current challenges in real-world implementation of psychedelic therapy.
This symposium is organised by the clinical work group of the European funded COST Action PSY-NET, a network dedicated to collaboration and evidence-based practice of psychedelic therapy. Experts will come together to discuss the current state of the psychedelic field, providing a cross-disciplinary perspective.
The PSY-NET clinical work group focuses on pathways through which psychedelics can move from “bench to bedside”: How does psychedelic mechanistic research contribute to our understanding of its clinical action? What kind of research is needed to support safe and accessible psychedelic therapy? How can we generate evidence that is robust and clinically relevant?
