Space to research. To progress. To respect.
The Animal Platforms give support to the neuroscience, cancer and immunology research done at the Champalimaud Foundation by providing dedicated environments to work with animal models, including rodents, fish and flies.
Designed to ensure the highest standards of animal care and scientific rigour, these facilities include specialised spaces for breeding, husbandry and for scientists to perform research.
At the Champalimaud Foundation, researchers use these platforms to study the biological mechanisms underlying health and disease.
Bringing together specialised infrastructure and technical expertise, the Animal Platforms play a vital role in advancing science, being an essential piece in the scientific community.
[ space ] is a photographic series exploring how architecture, science and healthcare come together to create the conditions for freedom to think and act.
