Smart Kitchen

Realistic reproduction of a kitchen with cameras to capture the skillful use of hands during naturalistic tasks with minimal occlusion and high fidelity. This will provide the opportunity to track and treat patients throughout the course of neurological conditions. The smart kitchen will allow the development of better 3D image reconstructions of the hand and the objects it interacts with, even with a single camera with a single viewing direction, overcoming occlusion issues. Thus, this immersive room will have a dual function: providing a space to quantitatively assess activities of daily living, as well as providing an experimental space to test MoCap technology setups at home.
