Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon
Isabel Pavão Martins is a Neurologist and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon. Prof. Pavão Martins leads the Laboratory of Language Studies at the aforementioned Faculty, and Migraine Consultation at the Santa Maria Hospital, Lisbon.
Prof. Martins was President of the Portuguese Society of Neurology (2008-2011), as well as being part of the Direction of the European Federation of Neuropsychological Societies (2014-15), and President of the Pedagogical Council at the Medicine Faculty of Lisbon University (2014-2017). Prof. Martins is Director of the Department of Medical Education (2018 - ) and Board-member on the Doctoral Programme of the same Faculty.
Prof. Martins has performed research in Migraines and Cognitive Neurosciences with over one hundred publications in international journals.
